Big on the cards is horse racing, a sport that catches the eyes of the locals. You will find Saturdays at the Garrison Savannah packed with locals and visitors alike. The Barbados Turf club has many race days throughout the year but the biggest of these is by far the annual Sandy Lane Gold Cup, held in March or April. It the local equivalent of Ascot or the Kentucky Derby. |
